I've noticed my brakes squeaking and I'm not sure if it's time to replace the pads. Can anyone give me advice on what to look out for?
ReplyIf you hear a squealing or grinding noise while braking, it's a good indication that the brake pads need to be replaced.
You can also check the thickness of the brake pads. If they are less than 1/4 inch thick, it's time to replace them.
Another sign is if your brake pedal feels spongy or takes longer to stop the vehicle. This could mean the pads are worn out.
