I just recently purchased a Volkswagen Touareg with leather seats and I want to make sure I properly maintain them to keep them looking like new. What products should I use and how often should I clean and condition the leather? Thanks!
ReplyCongratulations on your new Touareg, Samantha! To keep your leather seats looking like new, it is important to regularly clean and condition them. For cleaning, use a mild leather cleaner and a soft cloth. Make sure to avoid using harsh chemicals as they can damage the leather. As for conditioning, there are many great leather conditioners on the market that you can use every 1-3 months, depending on how often you drive your Touareg. Remember to always test any new products on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure they don't cause any damage to your seats.
Hey there, Samantha! Your question couldn't have come at a better time as I recently went through the same dilemma with my own Touareg. I highly recommend investing in a leather protectant, which not only cleans and conditions the leather but also protects it from cracking, fading, and drying. Also, make sure to regularly vacuum the seats and use a microfiber cloth to wipe away any dust or debris. With proper care, your leather seats will last for many years to come.
Hi Samantha, I have been a proud Touareg owner for many years and have had great success with using a mixture of warm water and mild soap to clean my leather seats. Just make sure to not over saturate the leather and to dry them thoroughly afterwards to prevent any water spots. I also like to use a leather conditioner once every 2 months to keep the leather soft and supple. Good luck!
