Is it worth the money for the Volkswagen Passat?

I am considering purchasing a Volkswagen Passat, but I am unsure if it is worth the money. I have heard mixed reviews about its reliability and fuel efficiency. Can anyone who has owned or currently owns a Passat provide some insight?

I have owned a Passat for the past 5 years and it has been a great investment. The car has held up well and is fuel efficient. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

I have had a Passat for the past 2 years and have had constant issues with it. It has been in and out of the shop multiple times and the gas mileage is terrible. I would not recommend it.

I purchased a Passat last year and it has been a bit of a mixed bag. The reliability has been good for the most part, but the fuel efficiency is definitely lacking. It's decent for the price, but not the best car on the market.
