Is the Volkswagen Golf a good car choice for city driving?

I've been thinking about buying a Volkswagen Golf, but I'm not sure if it's the right car for me. I mostly drive in the city, so I'm wondering if the Golf is a good choice for city driving. Any advice would be appreciated!
