Is the Volkswagen Tiguan a reliable car choice?

I've heard mixed reviews about the reliability of the Tiguan. Can someone who owns or has experience with this vehicle provide their insight?

I have had my Tiguan for three years now and have not experienced any major issues. It has been a reliable and enjoyable car.

I purchased a Tiguan last year and have had nothing but problems. It spends more time in the shop than on the road. I would not recommend this car.
