Is the Volkswagen Tiguan a reliable car for long road trips?

I'm planning a long road trip and I'm considering purchasing a Volkswagen Tiguan. I've heard mixed reviews about its reliability. Can anyone provide insight on this?

I've owned a Volkswagen Tiguan for over 5 years now and it has been extremely reliable on long road trips. I never had any major issues.
