Is the Volkswagen Touareg a reliable SUV?

I am considering purchasing a Volkswagen Touareg, but I have heard mixed things about its reliability. Can anyone provide insight on this particular aspect?

I have owned a Volkswagen Touareg for 3 years now and have not had any major reliability issues. As long as you keep up with regular maintenance, it should serve you well.

I have never had any issues with my Touareg and have owned it for 8 years now. As with any car, it's important to take care of it and it will last.
