Is there a big difference between the Volkswagen Polo and the Polo GTI?

I am considering buying a Polo, but I would like to know if the GTI version is worth the extra money. Can anyone share their experience and give some insights on the differences between the two models?

In my opinion, the GTI version is definitely worth the extra money. The performance and handling of the GTI is far superior to the standard Polo.
