Should I get the Volkswagen Polo or another car in this segment?

I am currently in the market for a new car and I am considering the Volkswagen Polo. I have heard mixed reviews about it, some saying it is a great car, others saying it has a few issues. I am looking for a reliable and efficient car that also has good safety features. Would the Volkswagen Polo be a good choice or should I look at other cars in this segment?
