Should I get the Volkswagen T-Roc or wait for the new release?

I've been eyeing the Volkswagen T-Roc for a while now and I'm not sure if I should wait for the new version or just go for it. Any advice?

I have a friend who works at Volkswagen and they mentioned that the upcoming T-Roc release is going to have some great new features. So personally, I would wait for it.
