Should I get the Volkswagen Touareg for my daily commute?

I am considering purchasing a Volkswagen Touareg for my daily commute but I'm not sure if it's the right choice. I've heard mixed reviews about its fuel efficiency and reliability. Can anyone offer their personal experience with this car?
