I recently purchased a Volkswagen T-Roc and I'm looking to switch to winter tires. What are the best options out there and what would be your recommendation for a reliable and safe choice?
ReplyIn my personal experience, I've found that Continental WinterContact tires are a great choice for the Volkswagen T-Roc. They offer excellent grip on snow and ice, and also perform well on wet roads. I would highly recommend them for a safe and reliable ride in winter.
I would suggest looking into Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires. They have a strong winter performance and also have a longer tread life compared to other winter tires. They may be a bit pricier, but in my opinion, it's worth the investment for a smoother and safer ride during winter.
If you're on a budget, I would recommend the Goodyear Ultra Grip Winter tires. They offer decent performance in winter conditions and are more affordable compared to other options. However, be prepared to replace them more frequently as they have a shorter tread life.
As an alternative to dedicated winter tires, you could consider using all-season tires with the M+S (mud and snow) symbol. They are designed to provide good performance in both winter and summer conditions. However, keep in mind that they may not perform as well as dedicated winter tires in extreme winter conditions.
