What are the best winter tires for my Volkswagen Passat?

I live in a snowy climate and need reliable tires for my Passat. Can anyone recommend a specific brand or type of tire that has worked well for them? Thanks!

I highly recommend the Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires. They have great traction and handling in snow and ice. I've been using them on my Passat for years now and have never had any issues.

Continental WinterContact SI tires are the way to go. They have excellent grip and braking in winter conditions. I've had them on my Passat for two winters now and have been very impressed.

I've had good luck with Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires on my Passat. They provide great stability and traction in snowy and icy conditions. Definitely worth checking out.
