What is the best model year for the Volkswagen Passat?

I'm looking to buy a Volkswagen Passat and I'm wondering which model year is the most reliable and has the best features. I would appreciate any insight and personal experiences from Passat owners.

I've owned a Passat from 2015 and I've had no major issues so far. I would say that's a good model year to consider.

I have a 2017 Passat and I love it. The updated technology and fuel efficiency are definitely worth considering.

I personally had the best experience with my 2012 Passat. It's still going strong and has never given me any problems.
