What is the most reliable year for a Volkswagen Passat?

I'm looking to buy a used Volkswagen Passat, but I want to make sure I get a reliable one. Which year would you recommend?

I highly recommend the 2015 model. I've had mine for 5 years and have had no major issues. Plus, it has great features like a sunroof and heated seats.

Avoid the 2018 model at all costs. Mine has had multiple engine problems and I've had to take it to the shop several times already. Go for the 2016 model instead.

I've had my 2012 Passat for 8 years now and it's still running strong. Just make sure to keep up with regular maintenance and you should be good to go.
