What is the most reliable year for the Volkswagen Passat?

I'm considering buying a used Volkswagen Passat and I want to make sure I get a reliable and dependable car. Can anyone recommend the most reliable year for the VW Passat?

In my experience, the 2015 Passat has been the most reliable. I've had mine for 5 years now and haven't had any major issues.

I've heard good things about the 2017 Passat. My cousin has one and she never had any problems with it.

I would recommend looking into the 2014 Passat. Mine has been going strong for 6 years with minimal maintenance.

I've owned a 2016 Passat for 2 years now and it has been reliable so far. I would also suggest checking out the 2015 or 2017 models.
