What's the best all-wheel drive system for the Volkswagen Tiguan?

I'm looking into purchasing a Volkswagen Tiguan, but I'm unsure about which all-wheel drive system is the most reliable and efficient. Can anyone share their personal experience and give me some advice?

I have a Volkswagen Tiguan with 4MOTION all-wheel drive and it's been great in all weather conditions. Definitely recommend it!

I have a Tiguan with front-wheel drive and it's been just fine for my needs. Unless you live in a particularly snowy area, you don't necessarily need all-wheel drive.

I've owned both the 4MOTION and front-wheel drive Tiguan and I personally prefer the all-wheel drive. It provides better traction and stability on slippery roads.
