Why does my Volkswagen Golf engine make a ticking noise when it's cold?

I've noticed that on cold mornings, my Volkswagen Golf's engine makes a ticking noise for the first few seconds after starting it. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

The ticking noise you hear is most likely the result of cold oil in your engine. Once the oil warms up, the noise should go away. However, if the noise persists or becomes louder, it could indicate an issue with your oil pump or valves.

I've experienced the same thing with my Volkswagen Golf. It's nothing to worry about as long as the noise stops after a few seconds. If the noise continues or gets louder, it's best to have a mechanic check it out.

I had a similar issue with my Volkswagen Golf and it turned out to be a faulty valve lifter. It's best to bring it to a trusted mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair.
