I'm considering buying a Volkswagen ID.3 and I've been reading about the regenerative brakes. Can anyone share their personal experience with them? Are they worth the extra cost?

I have to disagree. I've driven the Volkswagen ID.3 and I didn't find the regenerative brakes to be very effective. I felt like they didn't have enough stopping power and I often had to use the traditional brakes to come to a complete stop.
In my opinion, it really depends on your driving style and habits. If you tend to drive in heavy traffic and use the brakes frequently, then the regenerative brakes in the ID.3 will definitely be beneficial. But if you mostly drive on open roads, you might not notice much of a difference.
